Concrete edging provides a very effective barrier for lawn grass, since it’s heavy and puts 6" between the lawn and the garden . Also, being continuous, there are no cracks for grass to creep through. And maintenance is a breeze. You can cut your lawn right up to the leading edge of the curb, so trimming time is minimized. And your mulch stays in place. It can also be used as edging for a driveway or patio, to keep grass from creeping in.
